1. When did you join the volunteer programme and why?
I started in October 2003 as a long term volunteer, but this is my first VIP project.
2. What was your most memorable day whilst volunteering?
My first day!
3. What was your favourite object you discovered whilst volunteering?
A 14th Century consecration stone with carved lettering and evidence of colour from the Royal Mint site (click here for a summary of that site:MIN86)
4. What’s your favourite part of the museum?
It has to be the Medieval gallery for me.
5. Upper galleries or lower galleries?
I think both are excellent.
6. Favourite year in London’s history?
1940.
7. Favourite Londoner?
8. Mortimer Wheeler or Indiana Jones?
Sir Mortimer Wheeler.
9. If you could dig anywhere in the world, where would you excavate?
It’s got to be London.
10. What’s next for you after this project?
Another one and continuing as a Long-term LAARC volunteer.
